My main love... Cowboy Life Photography

Ahhh, the cowboy way of life... there's just nothing like it... :) and yes I just used a smiley face-- you

will be seeing alot of them here!

What got me started in photography was actually taking pics at a

friends local branding. I got such an unexpected response from them that there was no stoppin me

after that!!! I love it!!! Since then, I have created a website and a facebook page to help promote, and

sell my images. I want to share a handfull of my favorites with you here...

Thanks so much for viewing! Here's the links to my secondary website (my main website is having difficulties uploading any new images) http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/megan-kilgore.html and you can become a fan on facebook!!! Just like my page ;) https://www.facebook.com/cowboylifephotography

My Very First Blog... and my Very First Post! Let's see how this goes???

I am very new to photography. I have always been interested in it, but have not gotten serious about it until about a year ago. Since then I have been studying whatever free info I can find online and practicing, practicing, practicing!!! I started out with, really a quite fantastic, little snapshot camera (a canon powershot sx120 is). Just within the last few months I have upgraded to my very first DSLR (canon EOS rebel t3i w/ EFS 18-135mm IS lens). Recently I rented a lens (canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM) from borrowlenses.com to do senior portraits for my cousin Shelby. They warn you correctly, it was very hard to send back!!! I was sad! So for my first post, I thought, what better images to post than this session with my very photogenic cousin using that lens!

May I just add, this very smart, beautiful girl is graduating a year early! So proud of her!!!

 In the meadow...

Sitting on what's left of a rusted Ford Model T...

 The vines are comin in...

In the little meadow again...

Caught her laughing... which is not hard to do!!!

Ahhh... the red chair... I love you red chair...

And yes I failed to see her jacket laying on the ground to her right. It looked like kind of a pain to clone out, and Shelby liked it... she said it looks like she threw it there. So I left it!

My grungy version of her surrounded by steam...

Head shot. This one was her favorite...

In the doorway of the old stone house...

Sitting at the edge of the natural hot springs manmade pool... It was about 40 degrees or less that morning. brrrrrr! That is steam surrounding her... Poor thing had to keep putting her jacket on inbetween shots!

One of my favorites! Love the light with the steam from the hot water in the background! Added their class motto...

Since this session was done at very short notice, I actually still have a few more photos I would like to edit of her, so stay tuned for more! Every shot she took was great! A real pleasure to photograph!! Love you Shel! May your new journey be a blessed one!
